I just did my first Walgreen's rebate online. Man have I been missing out! It was so simple! All I had to do was register and basically submit my receipt number (everything was on the same receipt!). BADABING! Naturally I finally catch up with the regular Walgreens gang now that they are talking about changing the rebate process in April! AH WELL I know over the next couple of months I will be taking as much advantage of it as possible!!!! No hassle at all and if you choose a Walgreen's gift card instead of paper check you get a 10% bonus!
If your new to this world of couponing your going to look at this shopping list and think all she is buying for the most part is prepackaged stuff. If you look at other posts that are in the archives towards the bottom left you will see items that I normally buy. This was a run to have stuff that would be quick and easy for lunch (I work 40 hours a week) and Dad is Mr. Mom which means he works just as hard. It's always nice to on occasion have something that can just be tossed into the microwave. Anyways, all in all it was still a pretty good run.

People are constantly asking me how I find the deals I find. Well some I do find on my own but a lot I find through other bloggers. There is a huge community of frugal bloggers out there and several that have become stay at home Mom's. One such blogger is Carrie over at MoneySavingMethods.com. I give credit when I snag on deals from other web sites and I'm often lurking around on Carrie's. Very smart lady and she is doing what she can to help us all! This is where I have found so many free photo deals!!! Go here and you will find several links to various photo offers out there. She lists what "YOU need to look for on your end to ensure a good deal". Seriously now I know you probably have as many photos waiting to be printed as I do! Why on earth pay more for it than you have to!
Please remember that there are more to these deals than what I'm just posting. This is just the stuff that I see out there that I'm interested in. If they were having better sales I would be more excited!
Meijer canned veggies, select varieties (probably corn, green beans, peas) .33 each 3lb onions (10/10 with 11th free, remember to mix and match these things!) $1.00 Avacado's 10/10 = $1 Aunt Mids/Newstar leaf spinach 10/10 = $1 Organic Mushrooms 10/10 = $1 Meijer frozen veggies (select) 10/10 = $1 There are other items on this 10/10 11th free deal but this is what I'm interested in. I will probably get the following 2 3lb bags of onions 2 packages of mushrooms 2 bags of spinach 2 avocado's (can't help it love em!) 3 bags frozen veggies (if they have some other stuff on the deal that is fresh I'm going for that...craving some fresh fruit salad) That means with 11 items I will pay .90 each which comes to 9.90. Doesn't thrill me for that total but it's ok. Not sure what coupons are to be printed from www.mealbox.meijer.com but going to check that out before I go too. Those coupons can be used along with manufacturer coupons!

- Corn starch - Makes a great diaper rash preventer/cure. Doesn't have to be name brand. I would suggest getting a little shaker container and filling it then shake over little one's tushy during diaper change. Our little one has really sensitive skin and I have used this over and over. In addition especially at night you can apply diaper rash cream over top off the corn starch as a moisture barrier. This really helps over night when they aren't changed as often. - Celery - wrap in aluminum foil (covering even the ends) and it will last for weeks in the fridge. - Liquid fabric softener - pour some into a plastic bowl with a cover, soak sponge in liquid, squeeze out and toss in dryer with wet clothes. I've been using the same bottle since Oct. and it works great! - Vinegar - Pour 1/2 to 1 cup into laundry rinse cycle and will help to soften clothes instead of fabric softener (I've done this and it works but I prefer the sponge method listed above). - Shaving cream for woman - Don't have a clue if this would work for a man but instead of shaving cream try using inexpensive hair conditioner to shave. Works fine for me.
WHAT I THINK DOESN'T WORK Freezing canned biscuits. I had read that they freeze fairly well so I tried it. I don't recommend this. It changes them so that they come out tunnelly and tough. They won't rise the way they should.
My wife and I are Club Coupon. As parent's of a toddler that is growing way too quick our daily lives are an exciting adventure. Necessary costs compelled us to start couponing in May of 2008 in a very serious way. We love saving money and we know you do to. We created our blog to share our savings stories and help you make the most of your money.
